Putney

"Riverside Suburb"

Putney is located within 10-15kms from Sydney CBD. Situated in the middle of Ryde and Homebush many of the Streets within the suburb benefit from park and/or water views. The suburb is very popular among families and many of the older homes have been knocked down and re built. Many benefit from large size blocks and many sit elevated with high side positioning allowing for fantastic City views. Transport is fantastic and the residents are friendly ranging from families, professionals and retirees. The suburb has done very well with capital growth over the years. I have never lived in Putney though I did purchase an investment property many years ago in the suburb. Close family live in the suburb and they love it!

West Ryde

"Great for the growing family."

I spent the early part of my childhood between 0-10 years old growing up in Huxley St, West Ryde. A very friendly suburb to grow up. Very friendly neighbourhood with modern houses within the suburb, many located on 700sqm blocks minimum plus all located a short stroll to station, schools, parklands and river ferry. The location is 15km from the CBD and is easily accessed via Victoria Road. Over the years the suburb has enjoyed strong capital growth each year as many more buyers look to suburbs located 20 minutes from the CBD.

  • Parks, Recreation facilities

Rydalmere

"Friendly suburb"

Having lived in Rydalmere for 20+ years and with my parents still residing in the suburb, I can say what a great suburb this is. Many memories growing up as a child from great neighbours, high school only a 10 minute walk away, St Johns Park and the reserve/bush like setting that it offered. Shops and stations are very accessible giving you easy, fast and reliable services to access Parramatta and Sydney CBD's plus the University My parents continue to live in Rydalmere due to its quiet location and the overall friendliness of neighbours is great, I remember the Street parties that used to be held yearly since I was 8 years old.

Great for

  • Friendly neighbours
  • Lots of young families

Do you know if they still hold these street parties? I'm trying to find 'Sydney's Friendliest Street' for a story.
Thanks.

I haven't lived in the particular Street who did Street parties for over 5 years now but speaking with old friends from the Street, they still do yes.
