Forest Hill

"A diverse suburb"

Forest Hill is a very diverse wide place with its ups and downs.
In the centre is Forest Hill Shopping Centre, which is very modern with many new shops, but business isn't what you'd expect. For example, on a Thursday night, you'd expect a shopping centre to be busy with people dining and shopping and be vibrant. It get's very quiet on Thursday nights.
The place is served by a moderate mixture of public transport - there are 3 SmartBus routes, although they go on each side of the suburb.
If location doesn't bother you, come live in Forest Hill, but if it does, be aware that it is exactly between the M3 and the M1, and between two train lines, making it quite isolated in a way from the freeway and the railway system.
Quality of life here is very good on the other hand. Power outages are unheard of, it's very quiet, burglaries and general violence is low. However, education is somewhat limited in choice, particularly public schools - the only options being Forest Hill College for secondary public education - and it doesn't seem very friendly. The school looks very modern, but at night, it seems like one of those gangster places.
