Scott Road

"One of the Best Street in Mannering Park"

You will love Scott Road. Set on the waterfront of Mannering Park, most homes in the street have at least some filtered views of the lake. There are some beautiful waterfront properties but luckily there is public access to the water for sports and fishing. It's a nice wide street with decent houses and a variety of homes and residents. It's a quiet street but still a walk to school, day care and shops.

Harbord Street

"Used to be a lovely street......"

When we moved here, Harbord Street was lovely. Not the quietest street being a major thoroughfare but not too many problems. Now, 20 years later, we hate the street. It's a shame because Bonnells Bay is absolutely wonderful. But think twice before you move to Harbord Street. Lot's of hoons in revved up cars & bikes all hours of the day and night. God knows why, but the street seems to attract drunks walking through having fights with each other (literally every weekend). Cars speed the street, and some have no respect for stop or give way signs. We seriously need some speed humps in the street.

If you have kids or pets, I would seriously consider NOT moving to Harbord Street. There are much better streets in Bonnells Bay to live.

There seems to be a few comments about Bonnell's Bay having a lots of hoons etc. Is this accurate. It looks really nice but perhaps looks are deceiving.

Bonnells Bay

"Glad I Moved Here"

I moved to Bonnells Bay about 20 years ago from Sydney. To me, it's the perfect suburb. Surrounded by lake. Whilst we don't live on the water, we are grateful to have a beautiful view of the lake. The suburb has expanded greatly over the years. There are new estates, and even newer estates. We now have traffic lights! There is a great shopping centre that is a walk from most streets. The shopping centre has a Coles, butchers, Bakery, post office, chemist, newsagency, take aways, doctors, a gym, a great pub & bottleshop. Separately there is also a vet & child care centre.

The public school has a good reputation.

Bonnells Bay is minutes drive to Morisset (or a walk if you're energetic) which has Coles, Woolworths, Bunnings, Target, library, a super clinic with large array of medical facilities and loads of other shops, school, etc.

If you love the water, you will love Bonnells Bay. There are public boat access areas, play ground, picnic area. It's great if you like a good walk with loads of places to walk around.

Access to the freeway is five minutes away. You could not find a better suburb to live in. We love it here.

Gwandalan

"Great Small Community"

Gwandalan is growing suburb, surrounded by water on the northern end of the central coast. There is a pre-school and a lovely public school. A good mix of established streets and new estate. An array of shops and facilities in different locations, which caters to all residents. Including cafes, a vet, automotive, service station, hair salon, dance school, convenience store, take aways, bakery, pharmacy & bowling club on the water.

Water enthusiasts love the access to the lake in different locations, with boat ramps fishing areas and parts for kids to play and family picnics. There is access to public transport. Real estate is affordable but has a variety of properties and locations for every budget.

You'll be glad you visited or moved to Gwandalan - it's a jewel on the lake.

Summerland Point

"Great mix of people & residential areas"

Summerland Point is located on the northern end of the Central Coast. There is a great mix of residents. Owners, renters, holiday homes, retirees. It's a great family area with lots to do, especially if you are into water sports & recreation. Fishing, boating people will love it. Close to schools, surrounded by water. Has a shopping strip with restaurants, take aways, bakery, post office & grocers for essentials. There is also the popular Sporties Club with a bistro.

In terms of housing - take your pick. Homes in the more established streets, new estates and remodelled homes. Some over 55's accommodation, acreage, holiday homes on acres and waterfront - even holiday retreats on waterfront acres! Summerland Point won't disappoint for a visit or move.

Kingfisher Shores

"Tucked Away"

Kingfisher Shores in a tiny hamlet in the midst of Chain Valley Bay. Separating it from the rest of the suburb is the fact that it is filled with quality housing, and beautifully kept by it's residents. Great mix of owners & tenants the town offers a quiet and peaceful family existence.
Surrounded by bush and lake, there are loads of options for walking and water recreation. Short drive to shops at Lake Munmorah with Woolworths, chemist, doctors, take aways, cafes, bakery, newsagent, bank & hair dresser.
Public and private schools are a short drive away.

Mannering Park

"Lovely Small Town"

Mannering Park has a lot to say for it. There is a lovely community feel. It's quite small , with lake surrounding it on all sides. There is a diverse population of residents with a mix of home owners and renting. Some features include a very community mind public primary school, child care centre, church, sporting grounds. Shops include post office, chemist, service station will well stocked mini-mart, mechanics, real estate agent, take aways, cafe & bakery. But it's the water that really impresses about this town. Great walking tracks, public access to waterfront, boat ramps & great picnic areas.

5 minutes drive to Lake Munmorah shops, 15 minutes drive to Morisset, train stations and the freeway to Sydney. Perfectly located between Gosford & Newcastle and close to beautiful beaches.

Tidy Towns are very active in the suburb, making the surrounds very neat & tidy.
