"Quiet little gem that doesn't deserve it's bad rep!!"
Bought our house over 6 years ago and have seen a positive transformation during this time. Nice place to come home to. Some areas do have issues still yes- agree but most are laughing all the way to the bank with choosing a great place to invest in. Big blocks with established yards.
Great for
- Will boom in time!
- Close to everything.
- Good value for money
- Multiple travel options and routes to city
- Friendly
- Quiet
Not great for
- Still some housing commission homes in area.
- Previous reputations that no longer apply are still believed.

There are housing commission homes in every area. And there are normal clean respectful people that use them too.
The area inbetween handford rd, battersby st, church rd & zillmere rd. Kolberg & Jesson st have really bad housing commissiin blocks with alot the worst of the worst coming from there. Watch out for the streets off & including battersby, all the housing commission & drug dealers live around there
I rented in this suburb sixteen months ago and then decided to buy here. In response to the people making comments. I know some people who live in Housing Commission houses who are lovely and really look after the houses like it's their own. There are bad elements (including drug dealers) in nearly every suburb in Brisbane. I used to live in Holland Park and there was Housing Commission there too and similar people to those that live in Zillmere and nearly every other suburb.
Hi could you tell me the areas in Zillmere that still have issues please :-)
