"Cliquey, lots of feral and bogans"

A nice place to visit but worst idea to move here. Lots of ferals and bogans everywhere. Soulless no culture. Industry revolves around tourism, disability and the hospital. High unemployment. Not safe along the esplanade after sunset. Not enough police here. It may be cheaper than other areas but think twice and do your research.

not cheap any more average homes $800,000 plus. Best area we have found after living her for 12 months is actually Eli Waters. On the edge of town and like most places in HB has a few midges, but nice homes, lots of trees, Woolworths shopping centre 2 minuets drive, Doctor and Hospital 9 minuet drive and once Ibis Boulevard is extended it will be 5 minuets to Point Vernon and the beach. Sadly though HB hospital is a big disappointment so you do need private health cover unless you want to wait 8 months to see a specialist if there is one , mostly its a 4 hour trip to the Mater in Brisbane to see a specialist, unless you have private health cover.

Not enough police here to deal with the crime. And yes it is cheaper than other places which is why people move up here but it is lacking in many areas. The estate we live in was built near a sewage plant and mangrove which we realised after we moved. It can be cliquey here too hard to make friends. Im sorry but Ive lived in a small town and this place has serious issues. Glad to be seeing the rear end of it.

Yes I have also said that, the council allow developers to build next to mangroves then hide the fact behind planted native bush. Can I ask where you are heading, we are looking for somewhere else to go as well
