Duffy Street

"" Back to Nature""

Duffy St is a very long, prestigious and popular street, with most of it hugging the base MT Ainslie. If you are lucky enough to get a home on the up side of the street, then that will be your back yard. Also for most parts, there are views across the City and beyond. Its not cheap to buy or rent here, but for those who have, they love every minute.

Lowrie Street

""Small loop Street""

Lowrie Street, is a quiet loop Street in the heart of Dickson. It is slowly being developed, with a newly completed apartment block and a mix of new Townhouses soon to be released. It has a hidden alley way, which feeds out onto Northbourne Avenue and public transport. Whats the best thing about this street, it's location, well cared for homes and large trees.

Dooring Street

"" Long Busy Street""

Dooring Street in most parts, is lined with large beautiful trees, with a mix of new residential developments and original homes. Unfortunately, it has fast become a 'rat run" for commuters, making it very busy in peak hours, and it becomes very congested. To add to this, there is a major development which is causing detours and more delays.

Agnew Street

"" leafy friendly park setting""

Agnew Street is one if my favourite Streets in Ainslie. It has a mix of tightly held, much loved renovated and original homes. One of its unique features is a lovely park in the centre of a loop street, which is shared by everything and its a great place for the kids to enjoy and meet up with friends.
Its also a short walking distance to the Dickson Wetlands, which is another one of my favourite places.

Braddon

"“ One of Canberra’s NOT best kept secrets”"

Canberrans are proud of their City, and they will quickly correct anyone who says it’s boring. That’s why we love taking our visitors to Braddon, maybe to prove a point, and we don’t want it to be a secret .
With the creation of the pop up culture coming to life a few years ago now, and old buildings being torn down and replaced with funky apartments and unique shops, quickly transformed Braddon into a vibrant and fun place to be.
Places to thank the Hamlet, which gave us a relaxed come as you are place, where you could grab a slice of pizza from one of the street food vans, bring your own beer and sit for hours and listen to live music. Lonsdale Rosters Coffee, they became and still are so popular, that the owners needed to open two cafes in the same street to cater, and Bentspoke breweries, hopscotch, lazy su, 86 and 80/20 are just some of the businesses that should take their hats off and be congratulated for giving us, Canberrans some of the best places to eat and drink that we deserve.
To live here, it’s apartment living. Popular streets, Fawkner, Lonsdale, Mort, Torrens, Currong and Northbourne Ave.

Dickson

"I live and breath Dickson"

I have lived in a little side street, one block from the Dickson hub for nearly 20 years.Raising a family here has been easy and safe. We have loved its proximity to the City and surrounds and our neighbours. Dickson has some of the best restaurants and cafes in Canberra. The skyline is changing quickly, with high density living, appealing to many different people. Easy access to public transport the light rail and buses. Other attractions and services, Dickson wet lands, dog friendly ovals, well maintained walking and bike tracks and the community.
Cons - at busy times it is hard to find parking and it is paid parking, so don’t get caught out.
The local supermarket is one of the busiest in Australia true! so avoid it if you can after work and on Saturdays.Over the years there has been an increase in drug related crime. Be cautious around the Dickson hub particularly at night, and take the normal steps that you would in any City to stay safe.
