Ive lived in South Hedland for a while and its not that bad. Before coming here i was really worried and thought i had made a bad decision but i have found it to be totally fine. This depends though on a few things.
1. The company you work for provides housing or heavily subsidises it,
2. You are in a new house or refurbished house away from the shops.
3. You dont leave things out the front of your house that are or is worth lots of money that goes for Perth too.
4. A dog always helps.
5. Good friends help too.
Its not perfect but its a great place to bring up kids and help pay off the mortgage,
