Reviews of Vardon Avenue, Adelaide (CBD)

"Interesting area but is very noise"

An interesting street to live on, as you're close to the events running in the city. But you essentially aren't able to open your windows from Thursday to Sunday nights because of the noise.

I typically experience loud noise (screaming, laughing and chatting) until 2am in the morning - mostly from NOLA customers and employees leaving the venue.

"Live on the edge of the Parklands right next door to the CBD"

East Terrace is a lovely location, curving past the busy pubs around Rundle Street and meandering along the parklands to the east of Hutt Street.

The homes in this area are quite stately and tightly held. Lots of older style townhomes along with some modern executive residences, and all with sweeping parkland views.

It's a great location. You can walk to the CBD in 10-15 minutes. Hutt Street is only a few steps away, and offers a range of good restaurants, pubs and cafés plus a variety of shops.

Parking is the only difficulty - you'll definitely need to get a permit.

"Convenient location, but noisy on weekends and at Christmas time"

Very convenient location from the point of view of having a major hospital within spitting distance, and a bus route handy. There are also many restaurants and cafes within close proximity.

The only complaint that I have is that most weekends there are very loud (and sometimes extremely offensive) people around until very late at night and also at Christmas there seems to be a lot of partying going on, so once again there are a lot of loud, raucous people around.

Also, sometimes the roads around us get shut for certain occasions (such as street parties) which also brings in a lot of noise.
