Boat in the street

Hey Guys,

We have a bloke who permantly leaves his boat in the street and it takes up about one and a half carparks. It is also an eyesore and doesn't do much for the look of the street.

What do people think? Should he move it or is he entitled to leave it there permanently? A number of the neighbours are not happy.

It;s like ugly old cars left in the streets, it looks unattractive. He should move it, just be a bit thoughful of neighbours, and safety too.

yeh, I suppose the difference is cars, good or bad belong on the roads but boats don't!

I would have thoguht that part of the deal of owning a boat was the fact you have to store it!

I have a strong belief that if you own a Car/Boat/Truck/Horse float/Trailer or anything that does not belong on a council public road you should house it on your own property, if you can not you are obviously living in the wrong property. The local street should be there for temporary parking for visitors or tradesmen etc. The amount of times I have driven through different suburbs with cars parked on opposite sides of the street is ridiculous. It is also very dangerous when your driving space in hindered. Maybe the council can assist you, if you send them a letter and some photos to support the issue. Good Luck I sympathise.
