Hi!!!

I've lived in Mill Park for the past 18 years and absolutely love it. Childs Road is on the older side of Mill Park but has good schools, shopping and recreation facilities ie tennis courts, football fields etc located on the same stretch of road.

Ideal for young families or people buying their first home or even investers.

The area has seen some 'redevelopment' in recent years and homes under going an update.

All in all, a good place to live!

I haven't been in that area for some time, but you are relatively close to RMIT & Brand Junction.
You're off the main roads - Childs, Plenty & McKimmies which is a good thing and by the looks of Google Maps that road has a large parked area - you may need to be mindful of people congregating in that area late at night ie kids during school holidays etc
Again this is still an 'old' area of Mill Park/Bundoora so the houses won't be as modern as some of the homes in Blossom Park or Research.

How about the transport? what is the station like? I saw on whereis.com - thomastown station is the nearest but it looks only have 1 platform??
I am expecting traffic would be very bad along plenty road every peak hour too?

There is plenty of transport - trams, train & buses. As I drive to work, I don't really know what the transport times is like, but I expect they run every 30mins. Plenty road does sometimes get a little congested especially since the development going on in Mill Park Lakes, South Morang & Mernda. Also with the opening of Brand Junction traffic has been a lot heavier.
I do expect though over time this will thin out. There has also been extensive road works happening to help ease the congestion.
I work in Richmond and travel time ranges from 45 - 60 minutes, hopefully this will help you judge your travel time?!?!

I used to live in Bundoora which isn't far, now I live around Templestowe. I am much happier where I live now : ) Hope that answers your question....
