urban sprawl
2 answers2 following
urban sprawl
Is urban sprawn getting out of hand in Melbourne? People live so far away from their work and drive so far to carry out daily tasks like shopping etc.

The urban sprawl does need better management. Using more airspace, encourage inner city/suburb living with greater funding of public rail infrastructure, create cycleways on rail/public land corridors and trams having more right of way would help slow it down. Its understandable that it may create further issues but irrespective of politics either the current or a future premier of this state needs to tackle this issue and will have to make some hard decisions.

Stopping further sprawl will be difficult but I agree it needs to be done.
