Wagga is the medical hub for the Riverina region. With the advent of the redeveloped Base Hospital and many specialists, there are few reasons people need to travel away from Wagga for medical treatment. Wagga is also home of the Riverina Cancer Care Centre which provides cancer treatment to patients from throughout the Riverina area
