Widgee, QLD 4570

I've lived here for 12 years, nice little country town with country atmosphere. Good local shop with Bottle Shop, great country school and Hall. Markets are held at the hall once per month. Only about 15 - 25 minutes minutes from Gympie depending on which area of Widgee you live. It does have a problem with people moving our here and not keeping their dogs on their own property..so alot of wandering dog problems from irresponsible owners. A new estate has just been put in across from the school with some of the blocks already sold, so Widgee is growing.

I have lived in Widgee for over 6 years now and it is a beautful peaceful country town. Only a 15 minute drive to Gympie City. Only 1 hour to Rainbow Beach and just 2 hours to Brisbane. There is a Primary School and buses into Gympie High Schools. The General Store is also a Post Office. There is a Community Hall, Showground and Bar. Rodeos and Music Musters are held in Widgee. People are nice and friendly. It's a safe and clean place to live. I love it !
