Is there any air pollution in Williamstown?

In short, no there isn't.
While there a fair few trucking routes and industry in the outskirts of Yarraville (two suburbs away from Willi) and then pushing out into Brooklyn and then Sunshine, none of it seems to affect Williamstown. Williamstown is fortunate to be in a little corner with no real need for trucks to pass through it. There is a Ship building company (BAE Systems) in the heart, but that receives little traffic other than the employees that work there.
The busiest roads in Williamstown would be Melbourne Rd, Kororoit Creek Rd and Douglas Parade. Williamstown Rd being the major in road to the suburb and remains busy almost 24 hours a day. so I would avoid houses on that road or close by it.
Hope this has helped.
Williamstown is a destination in itself not a suburb through which you pass to get somewhere else. The mimimal pollution from the adjacent Altona petro-chemical complex is generally dispersed to the north of Williamstown by virtue of the prevailing south-westerly/westerly winds. Public tramsport access to the city is great as is road via the Westgate bridge -but this can be a problem if you use it regularly in peak periods.
