"A popular street for renters"
Wilson Street is in the southern end of Prospect, stretching out from Main North Road. The area is really popular with renters, because it is so easy to access Adelaide University or the CBD (a 45 minute walk or just hop on one of the frequent buses).
However the street has some downsides. Traffic noise can be a problem because it is so close to Main North Road. The street sometimes feels quite impersonal, as there are many renters and so it lacks a permanent community feel. That being said, there are some very nice and friendly people who live on the street. There are also no pubs in the area. Your best bet is to walk to North Adelaide where there are many pubs and other nightlife options.
