Hi, if you're looking to be within walking distance to the beach or the CBD you're best off looking in Wollongong or North Wollongong, most properties in this area are units, nice houses can be a little expensive. Mangerton, Towradgi, Balgownie, West Wollongong, and Figtree amongst others are all nice suburban areas within 5-10 minutes of Wollongong CBD, they are also handy to stations and freeway access.
