I would suggest around the Fairy Meadow, Towradgi and Corrimal areas.
In Corrimal you have Westfield and it is the main shopping hub of the north. Towradgi is a lovely beach side suburb and is only 5 minutes from Corrimal, and Fairy Meadow and surrounding areas are only 5 minutes from Wollongong CBD and easy access to the free way for commuting. These areas also have parks and sporting fields which are idea for young families.
