Is Woy Woy preferred as a commuter suburb

We're currently renting in the north shore area and looking to venturing into buying our first house. Me n hubby work in Sydney CBD n have a 3 yr old who goes to daycare. Hubby is interested to move to Woy woy to settle down while still working in CBD. So far both of us have stable office jobs. I don't mind living in the suburb but the travel is putting me off but the little one in tow and us potentially growing our family in the foreseeable future. Need some inputs from families in similar situation.
