Hello CorrineH1, The "dark side" of Wyoming indeed does still exists, but it has changed for the better. Although there is still a concentration of Government housing between Japonica & Birch Road off Maidens Brush Road, most of the issues of this area are a thing of the past. The families in that neighbourhood are maturing - with mostly all of the younger children growing up and maturing into responsible young adults. Unfortunately, it still carries the "dark side" tag, but I can tell you personally - because I live in Blackbutt Street that it is a great street & I run down Maidens Brush Road every morning past the "dark side" and it is a very pleasant place to be! Wyoming has grown more than some of its neighbouring suburbs and Blackbutt Street specifically has benefited significantly. I bought my home 5 years ago for $390K - if we wanted to sell our home today we would probably get over $500K. Thats over 25% growth within 5 years & there is lots of evidence of homes selling for more than $500K in Blackbutt Street. I love it!

Hi Pablo, very new to CC but interested to know more about Wyoming and its' "Dark Side tag", how are things now? (Not sure when your comment was originally posted)

I exercised through the dark side of Wyoming out of curiosity. I was there for only ten minutes and already dealt with verbal abuse from locals. Stay away. I felt so unsafe.
