Do most of the houses in the market have central air?

I am wondering if air-conditioning is the norm in houses in the area.

I have just learned that what you can ask for from a Heating and AC Company is information and an estimate for a "Split System"

I was just thinking about this recently with the mini heat waves we have been enjoying....turns out that most of the homes I have sold in the past two years in the Bedford area have not had central air conditioning! Condos all have them.I suppose that these homes are shaded by trees but trees will not keep the humidity out! Because of this I have learned of several systems that can improve your quality of life during these miserable times. I myself am a fan of the old fashioned Attic Fan that I had while growing up in a Dutch Colonial.Other than whole house systems there are wall units and new portable floor units. For antique homes there are systems that can be installed with vents the size of vacuum cleaner hoses that can then be fed throughout the home. I am sure it is good for younger homes as well. The Company is Unico www.unicosystem.com
