Are foreigners welcome in Yungaburra? We are from NZ and looking to be near wildlife and birds.
Yungaburra, QLD 4884 is located within the Eacham local government area, part of the Far North Region in Queensland.
We want to retire in Australia, preferably Northern Queensland, Cairns area. We want to know if we will be accepted as non-Australians.

Hi, you most certainly will. Yungaburra is a small, friendly town close to picturesque volcanic lakes and natural attractions. In fact, many Cairns locals and former residents of southern Australia historically move to Yungaburra due to the cool climate. Nearby Lake Tinaroo attracts a variety of bird life.
