Reviews of Albert Rd, South Melbourne
"Good place to run, bike"
Lakeside Drive is one of those rare streets which mostly just runs through a park - Albert Park being one of the biggest ones in the city, it's an excellent place for runners and cyclists, motor traffic is kept to a slow pace and it runs right along the edge of Albert Lake. There's only a couple of buildings on it, one of them being a small office building with a nice cafe in the bottom. At the south end of the street are some tennis courts, definitely a great place for a nice day out.

"Oh, it's so pretty"
It really is. There's so many great little places in Melbourne that it's an amazing place to just wander about and explore. It's a shame gas (petrol) prices are completely nuts.
But back to the street. It meanders along the coast of what looks like a man-made lake with a decent sized island in the middle and a huge expanse of, well, empty land with a few trees on the other side. Looks like a good place for a picnic.
