"Get away from it all but stay in touch"
This is a 'forgotten' pocket of Victoria - beautiful landscapes, very quiet, great community and only 45 minutes from Ballarat (great schools, work opportunities, culture and nightlife) and 2 hours from Melbourne. Try buying in one of the better known areas within 2 hours of Melbourne and you'll be in for a shock. And, only 20 mins to Avoca wineries, close to Grampians... endless opportunities for all sorts of recreation.
A great primary school is only 9 km away at Amphitheatre and there's a great sense of community spirit. Amphitheatre community is well organised and welcoming - their motto "great people, great place" sums it all up.
