Arundel, QLD 4214

Not sure what other reviwers mean by small blocks - they are much larger here than many Gold Coast suburbs!

Some small blocks it gets really hot in summer and you are living too close to neighbours. Narrow streets and barking dogs. There are better places to live than Arundel.

I have lived in Arundel for 5 years now and really like it here. Arundel state school is a good primary school. Close to Harbour Town, Griffith Uni and hospitals/medical centres. With no traffic it takes 20mins to get to Main Beach. Main thing it is missing good walking areas/tracks.

Arundel is a nice suburb on the outskirts of the Gold Coast.
It's affordable but the majority of the developments are small blocks on tight narrow streets.
If you like to surf it will take aprox half hour to the nearest beach. Not bad for a first home buyer.

I've moved to Arundel and absolutely love living here. It is a very peaceful, quiet and safe neighbourhood and only 4km from the beach. I love walking my dog along marine parade & the broadwater parklands (all within easy access). Surfer's paradise is only 10km away and Harbourtown is less than five minutes. Most of all I love the quiet, neighbourly feel of the streets surrounded by beautiful trees and golf courses. If you're looking to move you really can't go past Arundel - we're very happy here!

I love Arundel, close to everything and public transport always nearby. Their is neighborly spirit and everyone looks after each other and always up for a chat. A great place to call home with the family or for those retiring and love a good game of golf or shopping.

On the Gold Coast, where it can be all about the haves and have nots, its refreshing to see a 'normal' suburb, central to everything and offering a nice diverse mix of housing and people. Arundel offers expensive golf course homes as well as two bedroom duplexes, townhouses for rent as well as luxury houses on large blocks of land. Southport is 5 mins away, Surfers is 10. People are friendly and range from families occupying houses to students at the Griffith University up the road. With the Gold Coast Light Rail project well underway at Arundel's doorstep and the huge new Gold Coast hospital being built right next to it, this relaxed unpretentious suburb that's less than 5kms from the beautiful Broadwater should certainly remain popular with home buyers and property investors alike.

I love the fact I can walk all along the stunning Broadwater to Southport for work and by the time I arrive I'm at peace. This location is the hidden palace, it's just Labrador has a bad reputation from many many years ago and has not recovered to the full extent it should. The name needs changing (to reflect the Broadwater) as it sounds like an uninviting suburb when infact we are surrounded by water, water sports and a great handy location to Surfers. Labrador is undervalued, so many bargains, just ridiculous. The suburb is becoming very trendy in certain locations. I can see when the new Gold Coast Hospital opens in December 2012 properties will skyrocket as Doctors & Nurses like to live close to the Hospital incase of Emergencies. Coming from Lennox Head/Byron Bay I feel this area has still many opportunities in the horizon. It's wonderful as we are so spoilt, with a great variety of different restaurants on Frank Street and all within walking distance from home, stroll along Marine Parade and look at the spectacular view of Surfers especially the Night lights - just sensational.

I love Labrador. It's so close to the main parts of the Gold Coast yet is very quiet and laid back. Locals are down-to-earth and the streets are quiet and safe with plenty of parking space. Everything is close by from the best fish and chips on the Gold Coast to coffee shops and bbqs on the grassy shores of the glorious Broadwater. Labrador has a real friendly locals feel and people are very smiley and chatty when you meet them in the shops.

Great place for investors that want a small low maintenance home and a reasonable price. Good transport links, future potential of growth, the broadwater and close proximity to the city centre.
