"Welcome to the bay!"
Bay street features byron bay beach hotel and tavern for those looking to have a beer with mates and watch the sun go down on the surf. To the front of Bay street is what locals call 'top park' and the golden grains of Main beach Byron Bay!
I remember going to the park one weekend with mates and there were a group of hippies in a circle singing..In particular I distinctly remember them singing a song and one line sung by a local was 'John Howard pay my rent..' I was in stitches for days after that!
