The Boondall Wetlands have school holiday activities and other times of the year free activities for the family. Guided walks during the day and some night tours. Zillmere library offer activities also for the very young and for older children school aged children . They even help with the children's homework on set days of the week. The library also classes to help with working with computers.
There are a few parks around the place with a big one off Stanworth Rd near the roundabout. There is also public libraries at Zillmere and Sandgate which are the closest two. The other big library is at Chermside next to the RSL. Plenty of bike tracks around the place and the Boondall Wetlands are a short ride away down near the Gateway Motorway overpass.
