"Everything at your doorstep"

Who doesn't love having a 24/7 Guzman Y Gomez drive through around the corner from them? Not to mention Gasworks with a variety of restaurants and cafes within walking distance, topped with a stroll along the river and a friendly dog park that brings the community together.

"Convenient and close to everything"

I love living in Bowen Hills. We are a child free couple aand enjoy being close to all amenities (pubs, restaurants, Newstead, James Stret FV, train station) and highways to get out of the city.

"Convenient but noisy"

Bowen Hills is very convenient, but not too family-friendly in my opinion. Its mostly units and quite noisy with lots of traffic and ambulance / helicopter noises given the proximity to the hospital. Not much street parking. Good public transport with the RBWH busway and the train station, although you often see police around the train station and doesn't always feel safe. You are close to the RNA showgrounds so can walk to the Ekka when its on. I think this suburb is best suited to students / young professionals. Good cafes and restaurants close-by.

Great for

  • Close to everything - Walk to Fortitude Valley
  • Excellent Public Transport

Not great for

  • Not family-friendly
  • Noisy
  • Lack of street parking

"Couldn't ask for a better place!!"

Bowen Hills is a great suburb to live!! It is close to everything - you can walk to James Street to have lunch or shop or even walk home from a night out in the valley! Public transport couldn't be easier with the Bowen Hills train station being one of the main stops. There are brand new gym facilities as well as a large selection of clothing/baby/home/furniture shops and hairdresser/beauty businesses. Many homes in Bowen Hills have great views of the Brisbane River and also the City. You couldn't ask to live in a move convenient area!
