Safety at night?
My sister and I just moved in and I have a job until 12MN in South Yarra. I'm wondering if it's safe to walk from Tottenham Station to Central Ave?

@HeidiP1 all major cities have increased danger in the evenings. Tottenham station is in West Footscray if you are living in South Yarra would it be better for you to get a job closer to home so your commutes are not as long. What sort of industry do you work in?
Additionally is your workplace on Central Avenue, Footscray? If so, the closest train station is not Tottenham but Footscray station and would be a much shorter walk for you. It is possible I have misunderstood but that is how it reads.

Hello @KaTra! I'm sorry if I confused you. We're living in Central Ave in Braybrook it's near Tottenham station (about 25mins walk). I'm in a hospitality job and the only job I got was that in South Yarra and I badly needed a job that's why I grabbed it although I knew it will take me an hr just to travel home. I do understand that danger increases at night but I'm just curious how risky it is to walk from the train station to our home during that hour here in Baybrook because we stayed in Boronia for some time and we never had a problem walking home from the train station (15mins walk) since there were safety guards on the train station and patrols roving around.
