Commuting to\from Clyde north

Hi Everyone!

My husband and I have just arrived to Melbourne, and while looking for a rental, we found some beautiful houses in Clyde North. As I still don't have a job (I am a SW Engineer \ Project Manager), I am not sure what it'll mean as far as commuting; it seems like driving in and out towards the city centre \ eastern suburbs is a bit of a nightmare during rush hours, and I can't find any useful information about optional train routes (leaving Clyde north towards Flinders, for example, or Caulfield etc.), therefore I cannot estimate the duration or the expected cost!

Any advice? Every bit of information would be greatly appreciated!

its not that bad will take you 40 minutes at the best times, but might take you upto 1 hr 15 minutes, but normally it would take you 50-60 minutes
