Coker Street, Ferryden Park, SA 5010

Coker Street is a long-established main street of Ferryden Park. It's home to a bus route so great public transport access, or a 7 minute walk to the bus services along Regency Road. We've lived here for 1.5 years and really happy with the location, being so close to the CBD, but mainly quiet, clean and neat (read boring but safe) when we're around. Our neighbours are mainly quiet but friendly when we do bump into them.

For a suburb which was once a housing trust cluster this place has been transformed into a modern suburb with green spaces every few hundred metres and neat suburban gardens. It's still just affordable to get a place here for a first home owner and, as far as I can see, this suburb, being the last of the areas within close cooee of the CBD to be dominated by young professionals and the well-moneyed, it is simply the next place after the Bowden redevelopment we'll see skyrocket in popularity.

The other nice thing about Ferryden Park is that you're close to the hidden gem restaurants mainly influenced by the Vietnamese influx to the area in the 1970s. There's the Sunflower restaurant on Days Road and the well-hidden Nghi Ngan Quan which attracts Adelaideans from all over the metro area because it's so darn good.
