"Lived here for 20 years - love it."
What do I like about Connell Street? It is your typical green, leafy eastern suburbs street. It has great access to Parks - some well known (St. James) and some that are tucked away (Fashoda Street). Neighbours are generally friendly with a mix of long term residents and recent arrivals. Parking can be an issue with the recent proliferation of offices on Burwood Road meaning that one side of the street fills up quickly on work days. The other side is two hour meaning that residents are able to park there. Traffic is greater than other surrounding streets as it has no speed humps and can have the occasional speeder. Access to public transport is excellent with the choice of Hawthorn railway station and the number 75 tram (Burwood Rd) and 48 on Church St. The local IGA on Burwood Rd is excellent for top up shopping and there are some excellent coffee places nearby.
