Reviews of Kent St, Hawthorn
"Quaint little street in great central location"
Kent St is a lovely little street in the prestigious Urquhart Estate. The Estate is full of beautiful mansions including “The Terricks” c1882 designed by Reed and Barnes who were also responsible for the State Library, Melbourne Town Hall and the Royal Exhibition Building. Kent St itself contains mainly single fronted Victorians with some double fronted.
The street has a lot of charm and is in an ideal position with the Glenferrie Rd Shopping precinct just a short walk away. Public transport is also just a short stroll from Kent St, with Glenferrie Train Station and numerous trams just around the corner. Everything that you could want is within walking distance of Kent St.
All houses on Kent St have a lovely view of the stately Hawthorn Town Hall and its impressive clock tower.

"Sent via Kent to Glenferrie road"
This Street connects Oxley Road and Burwood Road and is parallel and close to Glenferrie road. It has gentle slope mainly used for residential. Quite a mix of lot sizes in nearby areas. Public transport is good choice
Shops and services are mostly at walking distance. Open spaces are limited and beyond walking distance. Mainly single family homes with moderate to high presence of multi dwelling developments. Parking signs are very visible. On street parking is quite important
Predominant species of trees are prunus, paperbark, brushbox, plane, etc.. Fence is medium and made of mixed materials.
The church precinct on the top of the close by hill is a landmark & is protected by conservation controls. Has Victorian and Edwardian mansions, they are very large and buildings generally have a high heritage value. It has moderate vegetation
A bit unsafe due to nearby glenferrie road which is quite a bit in news of late for irresponsible consumption of alcohol among crowd
