Anyone lived in Cooktown?
Cooktown, QLD 4895 is located within the Cook local government area, part of the Far North Region in Queensland.
Has anyone visited or lived in Cooktown? I have been offered a job there, we currently live in the U.K. and I would be moving with my husband and 6 year old daughter. Was wondering what kind of lifestyle it would be for a family. Thanks

It’s lovely:) I lived there as a child, moved to port Douglas and then sunny coast only to came back to raise my own children. Very coastal. Small historic town and very diverse landscape. Great fishing, everywhere you go it changes from bush to coast to rainforest. And the closest city is 3hrs away:) hope that helps
