"Tranquil and heavenly"

We moved here just over a year ago after building our new home. We knew most of the neighbours prior to moving in and in some cases made great frienships that we have a few of those new neighbours to our wedding that we held in the local park. Our children love it here as they have lots more freedom to roam around with the National Park just at our doorstep. We sometimes have wallabies coming up our street very early in the morning to raid some of the locals gardens. Although we live in an area that is affected by bushfires in the summer months, that is when the community really comes together and more friendships are formed.

Our mountain has only one road in and out which pretty much deters the usual flow of traffic found in suburban areas. No street lights makes it quite dark at night which most of the residents prefer (although there is one or two streets on other parts of Bowen Mountain that do have street lights, curb & guttering, the usual suburban feel).

At night there is complete silence and due to the mountainous range when parties are held the noise is pretty much absorbed.

Wildlife galore. Kookaburra's and other various bird life. Snakes (death adders which are quite dangerous, but easily avoided). Lizards, wallabies, kangaroos, lyrebirds just to name a few.

Views. Everybody has a view but depending on where you live to how much of a view you have. Some residents can see as far as the city of Sydney. The nearest views are of trees, ranges, rivers and small farming lands.

Anybody who moves here will just love the peace and quiet and bush setting to encourage relaxation and regeneration.
