I have two kids now age 7 and 4 and they were born after we moved to Highlands estate in Craigieburn. The primary school facilities and childcare facilities are aplenty with good standards and we are very happy so far. Its also quite safe for kids with plenty of parks to play. There are good number of doctors, dentists in Craigieburn now. There are around 8+ schools (mix of private and public) in Craigieburn and also some very good private schools in neighboring suburbs for future. As there are mostly families with children who live in craigieburn, kids find friends easily and also there are plenty of sports clubs and facilities scattered through out Cragieburn. The new Craigieburn library is also used by my 7 yr old.
