Craigieburn is not in any major flight paths.. Very minimal air noise
Melbourne Airport just put up a new noise tool for you to look up an address and check future noise impact after the third runway is built: https://caportal.com.au/melair/virtual/m3r
I have lived in Craigieburn, on the Southside for over 30 years.. just off Hothlyn Drive ...aircraft noise was never an issue..
I grew up in Broadmeadows nearby to the flight path and could clearly see the wheels of the planes as they flew overhead..
suppose I might be used to the noise too.. with the freight trains and Trucks down the street in Pascoe Vale road..
when you grew up in those circumstances Craigieburn is quiet. lol...
Not at all. Emily
Nothing to be concerned about
I have been living in Craigieburn Highlands for over 6 years and aircraft noise is not an issue. I do not notice much noise when inside the house and not much aircraft noise when we are outside.
Nothing that would deter me from buying a house there. Most of the northern suburbs have 'some' element of noise from Tullamarine, but nothing to be concerned about.
