Recently moved to Craigieburn too! I noticed that the people who have negative opinions of suburbs often have not lived/visited the suburb in recent times. We have had no problems as yet and feel very safe here. It is a great family community feel with diverse residents and plenty of facilities. Only negatives I would say are the drivers here seem to always be in a hurry (not following speed limits, tailgating, cutting in and out) but that's only sometimes. Train station parking gets filled up before 7am on weekdays but there's still spaces on the other side of the station. Driving to the station is usually fine as they've recently completed the road upgrades in the area.
I have been living in Craigieburn for 9 years, No problem at all.
