Good suburbs between Carrum Downs and the CBD
Dandenong, VIC 3175 is located within the Greater Dandenong local government area, part of the Melbourne (Greater) Region in Victoria.
My partner and I have recently moved to Melbourne and he is working in Carrum Downs and I am working in the CBD. We're living in Richmond currently but at the end of our lease we're looking to move somewhere that is a closer to where he works as well as having good public transport to get into the CBD and back each day. Any suggestions of areas which are safe, affordable and still have good amenities close by?

Caulfield has express trains to the city. It has a family oriented feel and I would say it is affordable. It doesn't have an exciting nightlife though so if that is important you might want to be closer to the city. It is only 10-12 minutes to Elwood/St Kilda area to provide you with better restaurants etc.
