Reviews of Davies Street, Goodna

"Best street in Goodna"

It is new estate. from 19 Davies street onwards houses are modern low set brick houses. not more than 5 years old. nice street closer to the bus stops. only thing missing is the trees. council should look into it after it is done maintaining roads and shopping centre after floods. This street was not flodded at all in 2010 floods. water was nowhere at site.

"Bellevue Estate - Belbin St, Davies St, McCubbin St, Sutherland Cres, John Bell Ct, Bellevue Rd"

The number of positives definately outweigh the number of negatives in this area. Close to Goodna station ,shops, schools (public and private), Ipswich motorway, Brisbane CBD(30 min), Ipswich City (20 min).
Quiet, friendly and peaceful neighbourhood. Streets lines with modern houses, Beautiful veiw of sunset. This is the most expensive area of Goodna and with the development plans within next three years, the price is sure to boom.

The only thing I wish for this place is for the council to plant some trees along the streets. The houses are all ready now...only the trees are missing :)

"Quiet neighborhood, lacking childrens facilities. Typical governments housing and rental area."

There is not much to tell. It is your typical western outer city street with the occasional hoons and graffiti. The local park has broken glass throughout with all the equipment vandalised and the newer homes that have been built had to manage vandalism.

There are a lot of black people about (mostly African I think), more than I have seen in any other area. I’m guessing that is because the poor can’t afford to live anywhere else this close to the city.

It is a 35 minute car ride when there is no traffic with a monring commute about 60 minutes whereas the afternoon commute is about 45 minutes to and from the Brisbane city.

Klavo .. Just because the people in this area are mostly black you assume that they are living in this area because they are POOR & can't afford to live anywhere else this close to the city .. You need to open your eyes more & see that there are alot of white people living in this area also .. unless you are colour blind!! There are areas in Goodna that also have mainly white people living there & the graffiti & vandalism is far more worse than this area where this house is situated, which must mean then that those white people are too poor to afford housing closer to the city also!! Idiot!!

Hi Klavo,

I do not agree with your comments. Davies street has the most modern houses in Goodna.

And we should not discriminate people based on their colour. Having white skin does not make a person superior than others.

By the way, I am a caucasian but dont think like you.

Thanks,
Nancy

Well whats there to say with a name like Klavo.
I live around the area and guess what I was burgled twice in three months and no neighbours say I was burgled by a white man...but you dont see me blaming all white people as all bad thieves.
Goodna is a very muticultural place and I tthink that is bloody great.
Its who you are as a person that will realy make Goodna a great town. Be a lover of all kinds and not a hater.

Peace..lol
