Reviews of Dolls Point, NSW

"Lived here all my life"

I think that Dolls Point is an amazing Sydney suburb. You always feel safe, great place to raise a family.
Only bad thing is that it is a 10 minute drive away from the closest train station. It is a 15-30 minute drive to the Sydney CBD depending on traffic and how fast you drive, but if you do not have a car it is a real hassle to get around. Buses only come every 30-60 minutes and they stop coming really early which is extremely annoying.

Great for

  • Relaxing
  • Beach
  • Friendly people
  • Peace and quiet

Not great for

  • No train station

"Southern Sydneys hidden secret"

Dolls Point is a sleepy beachside suburb in southern Sydney and has excellent access to the airport and Sydney C.B.D (Approx 15 Min Drive)
Dolls Point provides modest to grand and everything in between living options and its residents are amongst the friendliest folk i have ever come across, the suburb provides for a lot of attractions including most water sports like sailing snorkelling and other activities.
Famous Peter Depeena Reserve is located in the heart of Dolls Point, a popular picnic facility were people from all across Sydney visit specifically on a weekend to enjoy all the area has to offer, but unlike all other beachside suburbs Dolls Point remains uncluttered with no high rise development and wide open spaces so it’s perfect for family’s and especially children.
House prices are expansive, its virtually impossible now to buy any house under one Million Dollars with older style units increasing in value all the time expect to pay around Half a Million for a nice one.
With new trendy cafes opening and other new business’s Dolls Point is perfectly poised for even more future growth and in my opinion if it wasn’t such a secret Dolls Point would rank among some of the best suburbs in Sydney.

"Relaxing, quiet, parkland and beaches"

Where else can you find apartment living next to a bay close to the city. A very quiet suburb and still good opportunity when it comes to apartment living.

Dolls Point + Quiet and leafy. + parks+ beach + sand+ walks+ bike tracks + clubs + cafes = Lifestyle living.

The local Dolls Point Shopping village offers everyday essentials including the local cafes with Steve's Cafe next to Le Beach Hut Restaurant in the park on Russell avenue, also the 16 feet Georges River Sailing Club.

Brighton le Sands, Monterey, Sans Souci, Dolls Point, Sandringham are suburbs located on the bay where most people like to live and prepared to pay the price to gain a foothold in the area. Population increases, population shift such as people now coming from the eastern suburbs finding the St George area a wonderful place and more affordable and investors are pushing prices upwards.

So all said and done, Dolls Point is gaining strong demand from buyers due the beach, the parks, shops and transport.

Now the prices have gone up so far the "wrong" types are moving to Dolls Point - they are unfriendly and very snobby - sad as it used to be a nice area now just full of rich gangsta types in giant SUVs
