Are we losing an icon with the sale of the Golden Sheaf?

I have believed that the Golden Sheaf is the best pub in Double Bay. I have heard it is on the market in a freehold sale and leaseback deal by the present owner, will this be revamped and made to be something spectacular or slowly contribute to Double Bay losing its charm?
