Reviews of Dunblane Road, Noble Park

"Dunblane Road"

Love this place . Its close to the station which helps. It can be rough at though times theres an occasional shooting or carjacking here and there but it tends to be family friendly. The end of the street closer to princes highway is where the trouble tends to occur but its close to resturants near the station as well as kfc and the small shops near chandler rd

"Nice, convenient, clean, safe and quiet street"

Things are changing in Dunblane Road.

I have been living in Dunblane Road, Noble Park since 2008. Have always find this street convenient, clean and safe. It has access to Princess Hwy at one end and Heatherton Road at other end. Parkfield Reserve is being upgraded with new landscape completed in Oct 2020.

Noble Park Tran Station was upgraded as part of the level crossing removal major project. The level crossing was removed in January 2018. New landscape and public spaces were installed all along Lightwood Rd. Nowadays, it's a nice walk from Noble Park Train Station to Springvale Train Station.

Some of the conveniences near Dunblane Road are:

1. Bunnings Warehouse at corner of Springvale Rd and Princes Hwy (5 minutes drive)

2. Four Coles supermarkets - one in each direction - North, South, East, West. One on intersection of Princess Hwy and Springvale Road (5 minutes drive), one in Noble Park Central (10 to 15 minutes walk) towards Heatherton Road, and a 24 hour Coles at Dandenong (5 minutes drive via Princess Hwy). One in Waverley Gardens Shopping Centre which is accessible via Browns Rd

3. Dandenong Market is 5 minutes drive via Princess Hwy. It has the cheapest fruits and vegetables in town. There is a butcher that sells the tastiest roast chicken for $7 (Premier Poultry). During mango season, a box of mangoes can sell for $15, often they are sold at $10 towards closure at 4pm. I would always buy fruits, vegetables, meats and seafood from Dandenong Market or Springvale as there is big difference in quality and price compared to buying at Coles or Woolworths

4. Dandenong Plaza is 5 minutes drive via Princess Hwy

5. McDonalds (24 hours) is 10 to 15 minutes walk via Princess Hwy at the corner of Princess Hwy/Elonera Rd

6. Two KFCs - one within 10 minutes walk to the right of Princess Hwy. One on the left of Dunblane Rd at intersection of Princess Hwy/Springvale Rd

7. Noble Park train station is 10 to 15 minutes walk via Heatherthon Road. Two train lines service this area - Cranbourne and Pakenham lines

8. Eastlink (M3) is accessible within 5 minutes drive down Princes Hwy (left of Dunblane Road). Monash Freeway (M1) is accessible within 10 minutes drive down Jacksons Road (near the 24 hour McDonalds)

9. Springvale is 10 minutes via Heatherton Road. It is predominantly a Vietnamese community so there are plenty of nice Vietnamese restaurants and Asian groceries. There are shops selling fresh sugar cane juice. You can get fresh Vietnamese sandwich rolls (Banh Mi) and they usually cost between $5 to $8 (2020 prices). Those Banh Mi shops along Springvale Road usually opens from 6 am daily

10. IKEA Springvale is 10 minutes drive towards city via Princess Hwy. It is located in Springvale Homemaker Centre which opened recently. There is also a JB Hi-Fi in the centre (WEB:http://springvalehomemakercentre.com.au). Plenty of shopping here

11. Chadstone Shopping Centre is 20 minutes drive towards city via Princess Hwy

12. Waverley Gardens Shopping Centre is 12 minutes drive via Browns Road or Elonera Road/Jacksons Road (WEB: http://www.waverleygardens.com.au)

13. Monash University, Clayton Campus is close by (15 minutes drive), meaning plenty of students wanting to rent (if you are wanting to rent out a room or two)

14. Noble Park Aquatic Centre is near the train station at 9 Memorial Drive, corner Heatherton Road (WEB: http://www.nobleparkac.com.au)

15. Spotlight is at intersection of Princess Hwy and Springvale Road (5 minutes drive via Princess Hwy)

16. Italian style fruit and vegetable market (Market Europa) is within 10 minutes walk via Princess Hwy

17. Sandown racecourse is 5 minutes drive via Princess Hwy. It is home of Sandown Classic (horse racing) and Sandown 500 (V8 supercars racing). Lots of other activities at Sandown throughout the year such as Holland Festival in February each year (WEB: http://www.hollandfestival.com.au/index.html), TET Festival (Vietnamese). Events calendar available at (WEB: http://www.sandown.net.au/events)

18. Dan Murphy is 7 minutes drive via Princess Hwy near intersection of Princess Hwy/Springvale Road. A much closer bottle shop is BWS at Sandown Park Hotel

19. Restaurant and bar at Sandown Park Hotel (5 minutes drive to Cnr Corrigan Rd & Princes Hwy). Also on the same location but across the road is 'Highways - Ahern's Irish Bar' (WEB: http://www.pubfinda.com.au/venues/in/vic/springvale/highways-aherns-irish-bar). There is a TAB in the Irish bar. The Vale Hotel is another pub, restaurant and tavern at 2277 Dandenong Road, Springvale (corner of Princess Hwy/Springvale Road - WEB: www.valehotel.com.au). The Vale Hotel is a good place to have a beer and watch your favourite sports

20. Edithvale Beach is 20 to 30 minutes drive down Springvale Road

21. Waverley Gardens Shopping Centre is 5 minutes drive. It has Coles, Woolworths and Aldi

22. Costco Moorabbin is 15 to 20 minutes drive away

23. Daniel's Donuts was opened late 2016 (819 Princess Hwy, Springvale). Always a long queue here

24. Ouson Plaza is a new facility opened in early 2020. McDonalds, Aldi, Good Guys and Crunch Fitness are here. Location i s 754-768 Princess Hwy, Springvale.

25. M-City Monash was completed in Jul/Aug 2020. There's a Village Cinema here and some retail shops too. M-City Monash is across the road from IKEA Springvale (at 2125 Princess Hwy, Clayton)

There are more around but will leave it there.

Checkout newer houses and units at 8, 25, 28-30, 49, 53, 61A, 62 and 82 Dunblane Road. The rest are older or rundown houses waiting for developers to subdivide. Notice demographic is changing - young professionals are moving in.

Property prices remain affordable at this stage.

Hope you find these information useful.
