Hi Lovedeeps, Thomson is a relatively safe suburb - it's certainly increased in popularity in the last 5 years as it boarders East Geelong. Every suburb has it's good and bad areas. I would suggest trying to find somewhere closer to the East Geelong side, like streets near Lomond Terrace and Carrington Street. Hopefully this helps you a little :)
