"A little village atmosphere"
20 mins SSW of Ballarat via the Colac Road Enfield sits amongst farming land. Enfield is two 'estates' ranging from property sizes of 1 acre to 5plus acres.Town water, septic sewerage, electricity, phone, made roads. Central to many larger regional towns.
Great for
- A quiet safe place to raise children, a place where tranquility is the normal thing.
- Commute to Ballarat (20 min) for work,Acerage allows one to be self sufficient with your own veggie plot and chickens, great for a tree change or taking up a long awaited hobby of craft, gardening, art
- School bus collects kids before and after school.Neighbours will wave and say hi but basicially keep to themselves and noise level is low.Local community centre is active with youth activities and regular neighbourly BBQs.Kangaroos graze around our area.Bird life is fantastic.
Not great for
- Local shopping is 10 mins drive. Lack of street lighting.
- Some trail bikers on weekends pass enroute to Enfield state park. We are anti off road bikes but it's not that bad.
- Golden Plains Shire could improve the sealed roads by repairing the pot holes properly.
