There have been several bushfires in the district over the years.
There have been some homes lost as a result.
Some parts are classified as high-risk areas as they back directly on to bushland.
The RFS carry out hazard reduction in the area to reduce the risk of harm.

I wouldn't think that it is particularly fire prone.However it is surrounded by a beautiful National Park and bushlands,So if there are Bush fires in these areas it would be high risk in some parts of Engadine.

It bordered by National Park and bushland, so I would say YES ! A lot of Engadine sits on the valley :)
