Are pets bought from the RSPCA a good option for families?

I know many other families who have adopted pets from the rspca (we adopted 2 cats 2 dogs) all are totally delighted. most are surrendered due to death of elderly owner or families moving into rentals or owners into nursing homes. delightful devoted family members all!
