I just viewed an apartment around there and was wondering the same. When I went inside of the building with the realtor, there were like 20 guys standing outside blasting music....it was 10am.
The rest of the area looked on though. Seems like there are a ton of more places to eat and public transportation than the area of the other apartment I'm looking at which is on E. 95th & Rutland Rd. Everyone I've spoken to has said it's not bad. Just use your street smarts.
