Reviews of Forrest Road, Fitzroy Crossing
"Geikie Gorge Bound"
Apart the Great Northern Highway (Highway 1), Forrest Road is the busiest in Fitzroy Crossing. It’s easy to find as it is signposted “Geikie Gorge”, and as it leaves the highway it is flanked by the Visitor Centre on the left, and a roadhouse on the right. Along its length there are some homes, and the mecca of sporting life in the town, the football field where the local Aussie Rules team take on all comers. Independent travellers and tourist coaches travel along Forrest Road on their way to the magnificent Geikie Gorge National Park, and associated cruises.
