Best government primary schools in Geelong

Howdy neighbourinos,
We have finally bitten the bullet and are looking at moving to Geelong and as our little guy starts school next year I'd love to hear what school might be the best. We are considering a few suburbs Geelong East, Geelong West, Newtown and perhaps Geelong South but are looking for some feedback on the best schools in Geelong. We would like to hear some opinions. What do people think about Tate st, Ashby, South Geelong, Newtown, Fyans Park, Manifold Heights, Herne Hill. I'd love to hear broadstroaks positives about the school (not so much Naplan, as we can look that up!) but more around community, nurturing, good programs and outcomes for your kids.
Thanks so much... it is such a big decision!

Hi again! Chilwell Primary and Fyans Park are both outstanding schools, just be mindful of zoning when looking to buy or rent. We chose Chilwell for our son based not just on the quality of education, but also the leadership skills demonstrated by the grade 6 kids at the information night. Chilwell families mostly aren't the 'drop off and run' type and we love the sense of community overall.
