Moving from a small rural town to Geelong for Uni, what is the best suburb/area to live in?
Geelong, VIC 3220 is located within the Greater Geelong local government area, part of the Barwon Region in Victoria.
Hi, I am moving from a very small rural town to Geelong for University at the Deakin Waurn Ponds Campus. I am looking for some suggestions/information on a safe, budget friendly suburb that is close or reasonably close to Uni, but not to far from the city. Would appreciate any info. Thanks

Best option is probably to live on-site at the Uni. Great way to meet new friends. Failing that, always handy to live nearby in say Highton or Waurn Ponds. For somewhere a little cheaper, try Grovedale.
